Following Jesus still involves dealing with actual people. Even in the comment section.
In John 17:14–16, Jesus asks for His disciples to be protected from the evil one while remaining in the world.
Their allegiance belongs to Him. So does ours.
We can hold firmly to His truth while treating neighbors, coworkers, and people who disagree with us with dignity.
Faithfulness may bring rejection. It also calls us to examine whether our words and actions reflect the Savior we represent.
Today, ask God for protection, courage, and love as you follow Jesus among the people around you.
